A CHARITY quiz night will be held in Flintshire in aid of a school in Africa.

The event will be held at Buckley Youth Centre on July 6 at 6pm in aid of the Nsobe Communty School in Zambia.

Tickets for the quiz night are priced at £3 for children and £5 for adults. All the proceeds of the night, which will include a light buffet and a presentation about the school, going to the Nsobe Community School to purchase benches for children to have lunch on and for school toilets.

And Flintshire residents Judy Jamieson and Sue Beatson will be flying to Nsobe in September to teach the students about reusable sanitary wear to help with their school attendance.

The school, which was built ten years ago by Teacher Aid, started out with just ten students but has grown rapidly, with 380 students now attending. It also the only school in rural Zambia to have computers, after Teacher Aid fundraised for them and solar panels to be installed.

Teacher Aid is a charity supporting the education of orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia who would otherwise have difficulty in accessing education. Specifically supporting the Nsobe Comunity school in Ndola MasaitI district by funding teachers, feeding projects, buildings, building repairs and the provision of educational support materials and equipment.
