A photographer is celebrating another milestone moment after four years in the frame.

Melissa Cross, from Buckley, is marking the fourth anniversary of her photography business, Ginger Pixie.

The 43-year-old was a former press photographer working in Cheshire and North Wales, but took the plunge in 2015 to set up her own business and has never looked back.

The mum-of-one said: "I remember my friends and family saying 'you must be mad to leave a full-time job and go it alone', but I have never looked back. The Ginger Pixie brand continues to go from strength to strength and I have to pinch myself every year when the business celebrates another birthday.

"It's taken and lot of hard work and determination, and of course I wouldn't be here without my loyal clients who have continued to stand by me from the start, and my new clients that have come on board. My clients are like family to me, they are my friends and I would like to thank them with all my heart as I am truly grateful for their continued support."

Melissa specialises in PR and corporate photography and works with a range of clients, including DRB Group Ltd, Moneypenny, Hanson Cement, Gamlins Law, Jackson Fire and Security, Entyce Creative and Heyland Recruitment.

She also volunteers her skills with the Flintshire-based social enterprise RainbowBiz, which runs projects across the county that promote equality and diversity.

Melissa added: "I'm looking forward to what the future will bring and I've got some exciting projects in the pipeline, so it looks like another busy year ahead."
