MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the roads near Shotton’s train station ‘at all costs’ due to an ongoing accident.
Chester Road West in Shotton is blocked in both directions from Salisbury Street to Nelson Street and is set to be closed off for the next hour as recovery begins after a Vauxhall Corsa collided with some traffic island bollards, according to North Wales Police on social media.
Reports from a North Flintshire policing team spokesman at around 3.50pm say that there is ‘bumper to bumper’ traffic due to the accident.
Motorists are asked to avoid the junction between Victoria Road and Chester Road West in #Shotton for at least the next hour. A Vauxhall Corsa has collided with traffic island bollards and the road is blocked as we await recovery . Thank you for your patience.
