FIREFIGHTERS were called out to extinguish a car blaze on a busy Flintshire road.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just after 11.45pm reporting a car ablaze on the A55 westbound near junction 32 (Pentre Halkyn).
At the scene, firefighters used a hose reel jet and a set of breathing apparatus to bring the incident to an end just before 12.30am.
The car sustained 100 per cent fire damage in the incident.
A spokesman for the fire and rescue service told the Leader the incident was accidental and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
Police confirmed vehicles were being diverted around the scene via Holywell while firefighters dealt with the blaze.
