CONCERNS have been raised about a plan to park and operate two taxis from an address in Llay.
Wrexham council planners have given the go-ahead to the plans for an address in Eight Avenue on the basis that no waiting facilities are provided and no customers be picked up or set down at the premises.
At a meeting of Llay Community Council on Wednesday evening, Chair Bryan Apsley said it was "out of order" the plans had been granted on June 10, without any consultation or comment.
Cllr Apsley said: "I just don't think it's fair that we haven't been given the opportunity to have a say on this.
"I just think it's out of order as I'm sure we would like to have stated our concerns."
Cllr Sharon Roberts is concerned about the fact there was no condition attached to the planning permission in relation to what times of day the facility can and can't be used.
She said: "If it's operating a taxi, then it's possible it might be coming and going at two or three o'clock in the morning and surely that's the last thing people want?
"That would be my main concern, that there isn't a time restriction attached."
One of the other conditions attached to the granting of the application is the need to ensure adequate parking facilities are provided and maintained in the interests of the free flow of traffic.
