HOLYWELL’S Post Office branch is set to see its opening hours extended to include Saturday afternoons.

Remaining at its current site on High Street, the branch will be run by ZCO Ltd on a franchise basis and incorporated with a cards, gift and stationery shop.

The extended opening hours and the change of operator will take place in September 2019 with the precise day and time of the change will be provided closer to the date, according to the Post Office

Roger Gale, Post Office network and sales director, said: “We are making this change in order to maintain Post Office services in the centre of Holywell. There are unprecedented changes on our high streets and the needs of our customers are evolving too. The Post Office branch is set to see its opening hours extended to include Saturday afternoons providing more convenient access for our customers.”

“Our priority is to provide secure and commercially sustainable services in Holywell, continuing to meet our customers’ needs now and into the future. The vast majority of our 11,500 Post Office branches, large and small, are already successfully operated by independent franchisees”.

The new Post Office will retain its current four screened serving positions and opening hours will be extended to 9am until 5.30 Monday to Saturday.

Low level counters, PIN pads, hearing loops and customer seating will be included in the layout.
