A man has been arrested near Llangollen on suspicion of firearms offences.
Armed police were alerted to Trefor following reports of a male pointing a rifle towards the road.
Cheshire and North Wales Alliance Armed Policing Unit tweeted: "ARVs have been deployed to Trefor near Llangollen to reports of male with a rifle pointing it towards the road.

North Wales Police had tweeted earlier in the day saying: "Please do not be alarmed if you saw firearms officers in #Llangollen earlier.
"A man has been arrested by the canal footpath and is on his way to custody after being arrested on suspicion of firearms offences."
