Premier League Primary Stars scheme gives equipment boost for Ysgol Croes Atti in Flint

Ysgol Croes Atti are stocked full of items, including Nike match footballs, training bibs and some numbered and lettered floor markers thanks to the Premier League Primary Stars equipment pack.

The equipment pack was awarded to the school after their successful application for this year's Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment Scheme, which is delivered by the Football Foundation. It is designed to aid teacher delivery of active lessons across the curriculum.

Ben Elias, the Key Stage 2 leader at Ysgol Croes Atti, said: "With schools having to count every penny due to budget constraints, this equipment provided by Premier League Primary Stars feels like winning the lottery. The school's budget does not allow for investment in sports equipment and has not done for a couple of years. This equipment will allow us to provide much greater experiences to the children in the school."

The scheme is part of the Premier League's Primary Stars education programme which uses the appeal of Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children at primary schools across England and Wales to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

Nick Perchard, head of community at the Premier League said: "The Premier League Primary Stars kit and equipment packs have been extremely well-received in the past and will provide a very welcome boost as we approach the end of the school year. We hope that coupled with the free downloadable online resources, we can inspire children to do their best in the classroom and on the sports field."

Through the scheme, primary school teachers can access free curriculum-linked resources in English, Maths, PE and PSHE, and find opportunities for schools to enter competitions and access free offers like the Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment scheme.
