A TRANSLATION service is to be used to explain to a Polish couple the meaning of a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

It was granted at a weekend court to prevent Januoz Zbigniew Zdunek from contacting former partner Joanne Katarina Wronska, 45, of Pentre Gwyn, Caia Park, Wrexham, in the next 28 days.

Zdunek did not appear for the hearing at Llandudno Magistrates Court where the order was granted on the application of Gareth Preston, representing North Wales Police.

He said Zdunek, 34, had recently been “sofa surfing,” his last address being in Smithfield Road, Wrexham and had not been living in the family home. According to Miss Wronska, her ex-partner had forced his way into her home on June 9 and used violence towards her and prevented her from phoning the police.

“He accepts going to the property and that there was an argument but not violence towards her,” added Mr Preston.

“He will be handed the order in Polish with interpretation facilities.”
