A TEENAGER has admitted producing an imitation fireman, a hand gun, and pointing it towards a young woman's stomach.

Luke Davies, 19, was said to have told her to go and get a young man or he would shoot him when he came out.

Davies, of Heol Gelli in Coedpoeth, initially pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing the weapon with intent to cause a 17-year-old girl to fear that unlawful violence would be used against another.

But he later returned to Mold Crown Court where his barrister, Nicholas Williams, asked for a sentencing indication if he were to plead guilty.

Judge Niclas Parry said that exceptionally a suspended sentence could be imposed and Davies then changed his plea to guilty. He will be sentenced next week.

Mr Williams said it was a case of a young man of no previous convictions who was struggling to come to terms with the ending of a long term relationship.

The weapon was not discharged.

There was also no confrontation – he had thought better of it.

Prosecutor David Mainstone said the weapon was produced in front of a young lady.

Davies demanded to see his ex-girlfriend's new partner and produced a gun from behind his back.

He said if she did not go and get him, then he would shoot him when he came out.

Nigh shift worker Davies was pointing the gun towards her stomach area which made her start to panic.

Judge Parry said that exceptionally the custodial sentence could be suspended and he would consider a curfew or unpaid work.

He reserved the case to himself.

Davies was bailed pending sentence.
