A FLINTSHIRE community is gearing up for its annual summer carnival.
Hawarden Carnival takes place on July 13 on Gladstone playing fields, and promises to be as joyous an occasion as ever.
The event, starting at 12pm and running until 5pm, will see a fun fair, live music, food, a junior football tournament, bar, stalls, tennis coaching, gymnastic displays and much more.
The carnival is free for all who attend.
There will also be the judging of a scarecrow competition, with great prizes on offer for the winners. If you would like to get involved in the competition, the scarecrow has to be completed by July 12.
For information on how to enter the competition and to request a stall, please email hawardencommunityevents@gmail.com
