A WOMAN from Wrexham has admitted assaulting her former boyfriend's previous partner.

Lisa Ann Roberts, 46, punched her, banged her head against a wall and also pulled out clumps of hair, a court heard.

Roberts, of Welch Way in Hightown, admitted assaulting Jessica Davies outside the home of Darren Clarke in St Johns Court, Hightown, on April 10.

Appearing at North East Wales Magistrates Court, she was placed on a 12 month community order with 15 days rehabilitation and must pay £50 compensation to the victim. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs.

The Mold court was told Ms Davies had previously assaulted Roberts.

On April 10 Roberts went around to Mr Clarke's home and Ms Davies was outside having a cigarette.

The court heard allegations that the complainant asked her what she was doing there and swore at her.

Roberts was said to have started to claw at her face, punched her face a number of times, grabbed her hair and pushed her head into the house wall, with clumps of her hair coming out.

Ms Davies ended up with bruising and cuts.

Roberts admitted assault but claimed it started when Ms Davies held her by the hair.

Probation officer Pamela Roberts said Roberts went around to talk things over and believed the complainant was to blame for the difficulties between herself and Mr Clarke.

District Judge Timothy Gascoyne said Roberts must have had a good idea that "things were going to kick off" when she went around to Mr Clarke's house.
