Update: The council has tweeted that Parkgate Road has now been closed northbound and a diversion is in place via Countess Way and Liverpool Road.
FLOODING is causing disruption across the Chester area with roads under water and public transport affected.
Lache resident Stephanie Perrin sent The Standard photos of Sycamore Drive, most of which is under water this morning (Wednesday, June 12).

And Blacon resident Angela Rowland said Melverley Drive in Blacon was also flooded with the water now reaching her home.
She said she had been asking the authorities for improved drainage on the road for more than two years.
"We've been asking for grids along Melverley Drive for ages now and nothing has been done," she said. "It's getting ridiculous."
Andy Scargill, of Parkgate Road, also snapped cars struggling to blast through deep water in the road.

The Met Office put a yellow weather warning for rain in place across much of the region.
A spokesman said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads."
