MOTORISTS are facing hazardous conditions on the roads as heavy rain continues to pour down across Wrexham and Flintshire.

Due to the appalling conditions, drivers are being urged to drive responsibly and to maintain safe distances between their vehicles and the ones in front.

Unfortunately, the adverse conditions are expected to continue throughout the week.

For Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13, the Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Flintshire and Wrexham.

The weather experts are warning that the heavy and persistent rainfall could cause potential flooding to homes and businesses, while also disrupting public transport services.

The rain is expected to continue falling heavily in Flintshire and Wrexham until Wednesday morning, before almost certainly returning a couple of hours later and staying until Friday.
