A TEAM from a Flintshire business will take on all of the Welsh mountains with a summit exceeding 3000ft in aid of a local charity.

On June 21, a team from Geotechnics Ltd in Saltney will be attempting to complete the 15 Peaks, also known as the Welsh 3000s, in aid of Homestart Flintshire.

The feat will see a 30 mile non-stop on foot trek that takes in all of the Welsh mountain summits above 3000ft in height.

Homestart is voluntary organisation supporting families in Flintshire with at least one child under the age of 11

A spokesman said: "Our aim is to raise sufficient funds to send underprivileged children from the Flintshire area on a much needed escape where they can take part in a range of outdoor activities aimed at building confidence, communication, relieving stress and most importantly having fun and enjoying childhood.

"The emotional, physical and psychological cost for children experiencing tragedy, hardship and neglect is immense and can last a life-time.

"The need for the work undertaken by Homestart is acute and growing."
