A FLINT man has been invited to be a guest judge at a national competition held at Wembley Stadium.

The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge has announced that Flint based Nexus Education co-founder, Damien Challenger, will be a guest judge for the Final at Wembley Stadium, July 10.

The challenge is an innovative enterprise programme open to all secondary schools in the UK. Taking place over the course of a day, it is open to full year groups and split into two categories; KS3 and KS4. Working in teams of six, the students work on fun and engaging real life business challenges set each year by businesses supporting the challenge.

The challenge is supported by a long-standing partnership with Ryman and Challenge Ambassador, Theo Paphitis. Theo is an entrepreneur, retail magnate and well known for his appearances on nine seasons of Dragon’s Den.

Nexus Education co-founder, Damien Challenger, said: "I am honoured to have been asked to be a judge at the 2019 finals at Wembley Arena.

"The schools taking part will experience a fantastic day that will inspire the children for years to come as well as give them some of the tools and experience needed to compete in the modern day jobs market.

"I am excited to be taking part and judging the entrants alongside other great names, such as Theo Paphitis."

Flint based Nexus Education will be launching a competition in the coming weeks for a school to win a Challenge Day courtesy of National Enterprise Challenge organisers, The Inspirational Learning Group.

Theo added: "Some of the best pitches I’ve seen on The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge over the years have been even better than the ones I saw in the den."
