DELYN’S MP has welcomed the Flintshire County Councillor for Leeswood into the Labour Group.
Cllr Ray Hughes, who was previously an independent, will now sit as a Labour Councillor.
David Hanson MP said: “I am pleased to see Cllr Ray Hughes re-joining the Labour Group within Flintshire County Council. This demonstrates great confidence towards the new Leader of Flintshire, Cllr Ian Roberts, and the dedicated work our Labour Councillors are undertaking.”
Mr Hanson added that MPs, AMs and Councillors must ensure they have a close working relationship, only then can it be ensured that the public are able to get the services they need and the funding needed to support them.
He added: “I very much look forward to working with Cllr Hughes to ensure that Leeswood gets its fair share and a strong, compassionate voice for residents.”
