A VILLAGE is gearing up to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of its agricultural show.
The Caerwys Agricultural Show returns on Saturday, June 8, and showcases a variety of attractions that have drawn crowds in their hundreds to the village for the last four decades.
David Hanson MP said: “The Caerwys Show is a great way for our communities to show off what makes them so special. Caerwys and the surrounding villages are steeped in history and they are one of the jewels in the North Wales crown.
“The show will give you a chance to meet local producers, crafters and see displays that demonstrate agriculture through the ages. I hope as many of you as possible will visit the show this weekend for what will undoubtably be another excellent show.”
From produce and crafts on sale to classic cars and vintage tractor displays, there will be something for everyone at the show, taking place on Gatehouse Fields, near Babell.
Special events will also be held for the first time in the shows 40-year history including an afternoon tea provided by Coleg Cambria, an after show dance by Crooked Horn in Brynford and the chance to win a Royal Hamper from Highgrove in the raffle that has been donated by HRH Prince of Wales.
