Man airlifted to hospital after crash near Saughall restaurant
A MAN has been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle crash near Chester.
The incident occurred at around 1.30pm on Friday (May 31) close to the Pesto at the Yacht restaurant on the A540 Parkgate Road, Saughall.
Accident investigators remain at the scene and a closure remains in place between Shotwick Lane and the A5117.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a collision on the A540 Parkgate Road in Saughall, Chester following reports of a two vehicle collision.
"Crews removed the roof of one of the vehicles and extricated a casualty. They then handed him over to the air ambulance to be transported to hospital."
