A WREXHAM salon has triumphed at a national awards.
Make up and beauty artist Jemma Weaver, based in Rhosddu, won the section for freelance hair and make up at the 2019 Wales Hair and Beauty Awards.
Having travelled down to the Cardiff City Stadium for the awards ceremony, Jemma said she could not believe she had won her category when it was announced.
She said: "I've been in the industry for about 10 years and been doing make up for the last six years.
"I'm overwhelmed because the vote is a public one and it is my clients who have voted for me.
"I was gobsmacked and so, so pleased."
She added: "I want to thank all my clients, family and friends for their support.
"We're in the process of expanding and moving, but only from Rhosddu Industrial Estate to Holyrood Crescent so we are staying in Rhosddu.
"The new Salon is going to be called Avenue Hair Make Up and Beauty. We're hoping that will be completed by June 15."
