A COMMUNITY has pledged to rally around to show their support following a 'sick' wallet theft incident on Deeside.
A Connah's Quay Labour Club spokesman took to social media to urge people to remain vigilant following an incident involving one of their customers on Sunday night.
They said the victim was approached by people allegedly claiming to be police officers doing routine checks, who was not injured.
Cllr Martin White, of Connah's Quay, told the Leader that the victim of the crime was a “vulnerable adult who likes to keep himself to himself”.

He added: "I was truly sickened by the incident. When the victim came back into the Labour Club he was very distressed.
“I rang the police and they attended very quickly.
"They treated the victim with a great deal of care and dignity.
“Whoever carried out this sick confidence trick really needs to look into their soul but because they are not a nice human being.
"To single out a vulnerable member of our community sickens not only me but all club members to the core.
“Going forward the Labour Club customers will rally around to support the member concerned.
"The police have been passed all the information we have from the Labour Club’s point of view."
A spokesman for North Wales Police said they received reports at just before 9pm on Sunday of the theft of a wallet and are investiging the incident.
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or via the live web chat service.
