STUDENT accommodation managers from across Wales have been welcomed to Glyndwr University – and given a tour of its facilities at Wrexham Village.

The tour followed a regional meeting of ASRA, the Association of Student Residential Accommodation, where managers from across Wales met at the university to discuss the latest industry developments and to catch up after the recent national ASRA conference.

Meryl Austin, the Residential and Campus Life Manager at Glyndwr, said: “We were very pleased to host ASRA’s regional meeting here at the university and to discuss the latest developments in the sector.

“At Glyndwr, we are proud of the facilities we have on campus at Wrexham Village – so it makes sense to show them to other industry professionals.

“We are now looking to upcoming academic year and preparing the halls for new and returning students – we have 321 rooms across the village, including the ones our colleagues were shown.

“It was great to be able to highlight everything they have to offer, from our fully furnished communal living areas through to the flat screen TVs and wi-fi and internet access the modern student expects.”
