AN AONB authority is welcoming the public to take part in a range of exciting projects and events this month.

The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB will run a series of workshops and walks as part of its 'Nature for Health' programme, which aims to boost health and well-being by engaging with nature.

The events include guided walks (May 15 and 29), creating a bee-friendly garden near the AONB tourist centre (May 21) and building a woodland classroom (May 29).

There will also be a day trip to Ty Mawr Country Park (May 22), situated along the banks of the River Dee in Cefn Mawr with views of the Vale of Llangollen and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
