LIBRARIES are places where people can broaden their creativity by discovering new worlds and universes through books.
A series of libraries in Denbighshire are set to take part in Get Creative Week, the annual celebration of cultural activity in Great Britain which encourages people to try their hand at something creative and new in their community.
As part of the nine-day festival between May 11-19, community groups and organisations are invited to showcase their creativity and welcome new people to join them.
Libraries in Denbigh, Ruthin, Rhyl and Prestatyn will host a range of these free workshops.
Denbigh Library will welcome Linda Jones, who will teach how to make origami (May 18, 10am-11.30am), while Haf Evans will demonstrate flower arranging (May 13, 10am-12pm)
At Ruthin Library, a patchwork and quilting group will demonstrate their skills and showcase designs (May 14, 3pm-5pm), and the Woodland Skills Centre will discuss things that can be made using natural materials and resources (May 15, 10am-12pm).
There will also be workshops in Rhyl Library, including pebble painting (May 15, 2pm-3pm) and Prestatyn Library will hold a bracelet making session (May 13, 2pm-3pm).
