MUCH of North East Wales is expected to remain dry throughout the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend, the Met Office have confirmed.

Flintshire and Wrexham will bask in weather which could reach highs of 16C, but more importantly, looks set to avoid a single drop of rain over the May Day weekend from Saturday, May 4 to Monday, May 6.

Bank Holiday Monday in Flintshire will be the warmest day of the weekend, with temperatures possibly reaching 16C in parts of the region.

That temperature surpasses the highs of around 12 and 13C that are expected to be recorded In Flintshire on Saturday and Sunday, days where there could be North Westerly gusts of up to 25mph.

It is set to be a slightly cooler story around Wrexham, with temperatures expected to be a couple of degrees cooler.

The Met Office have predicted that May Day will once again be the warmest day of the weekend, with temperatures reaching 14C.

Saturday in Wrexham is similarly expected to be the windiest day of the Bank Holiday weekend, with temperatures just about hitting double figures there on May 4, before rising to about 11C a day later.

With British weather traditionally being notoriously unpredictable, especially around Bank Holidays, the Met Office have warned that there is a 10 per cent chance of rain on May 5 and 6.
