A CREATIVE project at a primary school has been teaching their new pupils new skills they “wouldn’t have learnt otherwise.”

St Christopher’s School in Wrexham are a creative school funded by the Arts Council Of Wales, and have partaken in a creative project that looked to develop the kids entrepreneurial skills.

Pupils were tasked with creating a business idea that could tackle everyday problems, and some of the ideas included a Cysgu Bag, which is like a baby grow for adults, as well as a hair brush with a power bank.

Creative practitioners came in to help the students but according to Ceri Ellis, the coordinator of the project, the ideas and resulting product presentations were all down to the children.

“The kids worked really well and came up with some fantastic ideas.

“They had to work together to not only come up with the product, but an advert for the product as well, and I think that they have all learnt new skills they wouldn’t have otherwise.

“They all really enjoyed themselves and it was a brilliant day overall.”
