ANIMAL rescue centre volunteers have confirmed they are currently caring for the horse, known as Gary.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) was first alerted to the condition of the horse on April 17 after it was caught on video rearing up onto its back legs before collapsing on The Range car park in Queensferry.
However, Ark Angels Rescue volunteers say they now have the horse under their care after speculation over what has happened and where the horse was.
A spokesman for the rescue said on social media: "Just to inform the public the pony known as Gary is under our care. We met the lads this afternoon.
"The riding school who have looked after him the last four days were great with us. They cared for him and gave his medication at no cost.
"We are raising funds now to help with the costs to the rescue. If anyone would like to donate, even £1 will go towards the expense.
"Our goal is to give our followers regular updates and photos and allow you to see his journey with us in our care."
More information about the horse and how to donate can be found on the Ark Angels Facebook Page.
