Reports of a house blaze in Llay were a false alarm, fire chiefs have confirmed.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 8.30pm on Thursday reporting a blaze at an address in Llay.
Two fire crews from Wrexham were sent to the scene.
But a spokesman told the Leader just before 9pm that the call was confirmed to have been a false alarm and the crews had been stood down.
