A SCHOOL in Wrexham has helped promote the Welsh language to its students through contemporary music.
Wrexham Early Years Centre on Prince Charles Road held an event on Monday, April 8, where Welsh beatboxer Ed Holden came in, collaborating with and performing to the pupils at the school, along with some who were invited from St. Anne’s across the road.
Famous Welsh beatboxer Ed Holden AKA Mr Phormula entertained the children bi-lingually with his own brand of music, teaching the pupils basic beatboxing skills and they made up and recorded it at the end of the session.

Headteacher of Wrexham Early Years Centre, Rhian Hughes, has said just how much fun the pupils had throughout the day.
“It was fantastic, a real lovely treat for all the kids who thoroughly enjoyed themselves the entire time.
“Ed was very entertaining, he performed in both English and Welsh in a very contemporary way, and he collaborated with the students to create a rap which he then performed.
“It’s a great way to promote Welsh speaking to the kids, it got them engaged in a fun, exciting way, and they all had a great time.”
