NATIONAL Trust properties in Wrexham are hosting Easter events.

At Erddig, there is a 'Treemendous Trail' taking place from now until April 28, from 10am to 5pm.

Amongst the springtime blossoms and colour, discover a 'treemendous', enchanting trail at Erddig.

Can you spot the tree faces created by a carving artist around the gardens? Use mirrors to look up into the branches, learn leaf shapes to identify trees and create your very own wood rubbings as you rediscover nature on this sensory trail.

It is a free event, but normal admission prices apply.

At Chirk Castle, there is the 'Huggable Tree Trail', also happening until 28 April, from 10am to 5pm.

Embrace nature by following the rangers’ Huggable Tree Trail where you can discover the wonderful world of our Woodland. Feel the texture of the tree, watch it swaying in the wind and discover the birds and insects that live in and around it.

Again this is a free event, but normal admission prices apply.
