Three Flintshire schoolchildren took part in a ‘Swimathon’ last week in an attempt to raise money for their chosen charities.
Together, with a little parental helping hand, the three youngsters, from Ysgol Derwenfa in Leeswood, raised a heart-warming £545 for charity.
Megan Challinor, 11, and sister Jessica, 7, teamed up with their mum to swim an incredible 80 lengths at Mold Leisure Centre.
Their efforts helped to raise £160 through their JustGiving page for Cancer Research and the Marie Curie Cancer Trust, while a further £70 they raised went to Nightingale House.
Harley Challinor-Hughes, 10, also showed his swimming skills by completing 26 lengths to raise a further £315 for Nightingale House.
