A HUGE North Wales Police operation successfully located a missing youth in the early hours of Tuesday, March 26.

Trained sniffer dogs were joined by several police cars and a helicopter in the Flint area to try and track down a missing person who was reported to be at risk.

Concerns for the missing individual’s safety were first raised to the police at approximately 11.20pm on Monday, March 25, when it was reported that they were near the Mount Pleasant area in Flint.

Shortly before the police were made aware, a call was made to the Welsh Ambulance Service about an incident on nearby Albert Avenue, Flint, at around 11.10pm.

However, after responding by dispatching an emergency ambulance, a call shortly afterwards cancelled the request.

Amid the search, it is reported that officers were stopping pedestrians and vehicles to ask questions about the missing youth, while others patrolled the train station and sniffer dogs carried out checks.

Thanks to the rapid police response which utilised the resources at their disposal, the person was found just before 12.30am.
