A THREE vehicle collision caused gridlock vehicleand the temporary closure of one of the region's main arteries on Thursday afternoon.
A North Wales Police spokesman said incident happened shortly before 3pm when a Renault Master van, a DAF tr lpuck and a BMW 3 Series collided by junction 1 of the A483, near to Ruabon, resulting in the closure of the road in both directions between there and the A5 Halton roundabout.

The spokesman added that no-one was injured in the crash and the road had been closed for vehicle recovery.
North Wales Police said on Twitter: "The road is currently closed in both directions. There is congestion in the area and motorists are advised to use alternative routes."
However, at around 5.30pm, Traffic Wales confirmed the road had been re-opened, although severe congestion remained.
