PROSPECTIVE students will have the chance to decide their futures during an open day at Wrexham Glyndwr University’s Northop campus next week.

Those who attend the event – which runs for three hours from 3:30pm - on Thursday, March 21 will be afforded the opportunity to find out more about what the university offers through meeting academics, students and staff from across the university.

Wrexham Glyndwr University offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Professional qualifications, as well as a variety of short courses, with prospective students having the chance to discover more about all of the careers-focused courses that the institution offers.

Wrexham Glyndwr University Student Recruitment Manager Claire Wright said: “This open evening offers an ideal chance for people from across the region and beyond to find out more about the courses we offer, what they entail – and how they can study with us.

“We were rated Britain’s most socially-inclusive university by the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019, and as with all our Open events, this one won’t just focus purely on academic study.

“So, if you’re interested in learning with us, but have wider questions about your course or the university, there will be advice on hand from our specialist advisors, who can give tailored, one-to-one guidance about how we can help you.

“Our academics will also be available to discuss the careers-focussed courses we offer, covering subjects from Animal Science to Art and Design and Criminology to Computing – and to answer any questions our prospective students may have about their course.”

Glyndwr University was founded in 2008, and has campuses in Northop, St Asaph, as well as two in Wrexham, and in 2017 was awarded the silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework for the quality of teaching.

There are also exciting plans for new student accommodation, car parking, and upgraded facilities to all come within the next seven years as part of The Campus 2025 strategy.
