NORTH Wales Police have launched a hunt for two men after a failed kidnapping attempt of a 21-year-old woman in Wrexham.

Police say the pair pulled up alongside the victim – who was walking alone – in a white Volkswagen Transporter van on Fairfield Street, Wrexham, at approximately 9:15pm on Saturday, March 16.

The two men first asked her to get into the vehicle, but when she refused, one suspect grabbed her by the wrist and attempted to pull her inside.

Thankfully the victim was able to break free and report the terrifying incident to the police, who are now searching for the two suspects.

DS Andrew Hughes said: “While it is understandable that people will be concerned when they hear about incidents like this, North Wales Police would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident and thankfully the victim was not seriously hurt.

“We are exhausting all lines of enquiry to identify the offenders and bring them to justice.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with information, including dashcam footage in the area at the given time, to come forward.
