A BUCKLEY Sales consultant has been recognised for his achievements by winning a national award.

Chris Edwards, of Redrow, has landed himself the title of Sales Consultant of the Year.

The 31-year-old said: "It’s just the perfect job because of the difference you can make to people’s lives.

"Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions anyone makes so my job comes with a big responsibility, but I love building relationships with customers, helping them make the right choice and then seeing their happiness at the end of it.

"I feel very privileged and very proud to have won the North West award because Redrow are the best, and it means that I am the best of the best."

Chris, from Buckley, has worked for Redrow for three and a half years and said the location of the homes in Hartford makes his job easier.

He added: "It’s a lovely development with a lovely feel. It has a big green area and is central to the village and within walking distance of the shops and bars; Hartford train station has services to Liverpool and Crewe, while nearby Green Bank station serves Chester and Manchester.

"There are also great road links so people can commute, and there are some excellent schools nearby, including The Grange."

Chris has recently bought a home for himself, his wife Zoe and daughters Libby-Rae and Lucy.

He said: "It means I really appreciate the quality. I can also explain the benefits of a new-build and advise on the choices and what worked for me because I can speak from experience and customers know I am sincere."

Chris received a framed certificate and a cash prize, which he intends to put towards a family holiday.

Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: "Chris not only loves his job but has a sincere belief in what he is selling and that is so evident.

"He has sales targets to meet but instead of chasing those he puts his energies in helping buyers choose the right home for them, believing that the sales will then follow – and they do.

"He has a wealth of knowledge and information about the developments he works on and their locations, as well as the houses he sells, but beyond that he has a passion for what he does, and that shines."
