FOCUS Wales has announced details of a new national film festival to run alongside their annual music event in Wrexham.
FOCUS Wales Film Festival will take place on Saturday May 18, 2019 at Grove Park Theatre with support from Ffilm Cymru and 73 Degree Films.
Filmmakers across Wales are being urged to submit their work for the first ever FOCUS Wales Short Film Award which will offer opportunities for filmmakers, both from Wales and internationally, to submit their work for screenings and awards in a high quality showcase environment.
FOCUS Wales wristband holders will be able to attend the film festival at no additional cost and film festival-only tickets are also available.
A spokesperson for FOCUS Wales said: "In this inaugural year of the festival, awards will be offered in two categories: Best Welsh Short Film and Best International Short Film.
"All scripted and non-scripted films under 15 minutes in length will be considered, including documentaries. Student discounts are available and anyone whose work is selected for screening will receive their film festival pass completely free. Applications close at midnight on March 24 2019.
