FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a gorse blaze in Flintshire.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly after 2pm on Friday reporting a blaze near Bryn Fannan in Brynford.
One crew from Holywell attended the scene and used three beaters as well as a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
A spokesman for the service told the Leader that the incident resulted in 200 square metres of fire damage to gorse.
The cause is unknown.
