TOWN councillors agreed to give funds to a number of good causes.
Buckley Town Council met recently to discuss a number of grant applications.
Firstly in the individual applications category several requests were approved.
These included Bistre Babies and Toddlers for £250, Buckley Cross Methodist Church for £250, Buckley Monday Club for £300, Buckley Singers for £300, Buckley Juniors Football Club for £500 and Burntwood and Drury Bible Club for £300.
Applications were also approved for Chatterboxes Stroke Club for £300, Sharonettes Morris Dancers for £350 and St Matthew's Church for £500.
Under the category of grants for the arts, councillors approved a £200 contribution to the National Eisteddfod, £200 for the Urdd National Eisteddfod and a further £200 Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
A total of £2,200 was also approved for the maintenance of burial grounds.
This entailed a grant of £1,100 for the Parish of Bistre Churchyard, £770 for St Matthew's Parish Churchyard and £330 for St John's United Reformed Churchyard.
