WREXHAM AFC will be supporting International Women’s day in March, with a performance by the town's very own viral poet.

The Reds home game against Chesterfield on March 2 will see Poet and spoken word artist Evrah Rose reading some of her poetry, including a bespoke piece written especially for the day.

Evrah Rose is an injustice driven poet and spoken word performer hailing from Wrexham and has received much acclaim recently with her no nonsense thought provoking poetry and the club are delighted Evrah, who regularly attended games growing up, will be joining them for the day and are looking forward to hearing some of her excellent work.

Wrexham AFC are proud to promote inclusivity and say it's great to see games watched by an ever increasing number of female supporters.

The Reds junior girl players will lead the two teams on to the Racecourse ground pitch and there will also be a special article in the programme about Wrexham AFC Ladies team.

International Women’s day is held annually on March 8 and this years theme is 'the future is exciting. Let's build a gender-balanced world’.
