RESIDENTS of a Flintshire town woke to find their cars covered in spray paint at the hands of vandals.
The incident occurred in the Melbourne Road area of Buckley during the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
It involved the vandals spray painting the sides of four cars, leaving them covered in grey paint. The incident follows vandals also targeting a number of cars in Leeswood over the weekend.
One Melbourne Road woman, who did not want to be named, told the Leader she was annoyed to discover hers was one of four cars which had been covered in the paint.
She said: “It’s unacceptable, it’s never happened before in this road, or this area.
“You expect to be able to park your car outside your house at night and not find it vandalised the following morning, it’s a mindless act.”
A wall of a house was also spray painted on Westbourne Crescent.
A Westbourne Crescent resident said: “They want to get themselves a hobby, rather than defacing people’s property.”
