A WREXHAM man is appearing in court charged with 'county lines' drug supply offences.

Chester Local Policing Unit have charged four men with drug offences following an operation to target county lines criminal activity in the city, including Shumon Ahmed, 31, of Piercy Avenue, Marchwiel.

All of the men have been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs (cocaine, MDMA and cannabis).

The four men have been remanded in custody to appear at Southern Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday, February 1.

Shumon Ahmed, of Piercy Avenue, Wrexham; Imran Hussain, 26, of Ullswater Crescent, Chester; Jaher Ahmed, 28, of Linden Grove, Chester; and Iqbal Hussain, 25, of Ullswater Crescent, Chester; have each been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine and MDMA) and one count conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).

The charges relate to arrests made on Wednesday, January 30 after a number of warrants were executed at properties in Chester, Wrexham and Manchester in connection with county line drug activity.

Following the execution of the warrants, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) carried out high-visibility patrols to offer reassurance to local residents.
