Appeal for people to attend Wrexham funeral of war veteran with no known family
THE people of Wrexham are being encouraged to attend the funeral of a war veteran who died recently.
George Formstone, who served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers, died in a nursing home on January 9 and has no family to attend.
An online appeal has been launched by supporters of the Armed Forces, with as many people as possible asked to attend the service.
The funeral will take place at Plas Acton Cemetery on Thursday, January 31 at 10.30am.
