Police are hunting at least two men after an attempted robbery at a Connah's Quay shop on Friday morning.

The incident happened at the One Stop Community Store on the High Street, with emergency services notified at 8.08am.

North Wales Police are currently searching for at least two male offenders who fled the scene before police units arrived.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.

A spokesperson for One Stop said: "We can confirm the police were called to our store in Connah's Quay following an attempted robbery.

"Our colleagues and customer safety is of paramount importance, and no members of staff were injured.

"We are working, as always, with the police to aid their investigation, as this is a live investigation we are unable to comment any further."

A police spokesman has said: “We were called to an attempted robbery at a One Stop store in the Connah’s Quay precinct this morning where at least two males attempted to rob the shop.

"They are believed to have made off, but it is unclear yet as to whether anything was stolen. Nobody was hurt.”

Police units have blocked off the area and are currently investigating further.
