LOCAL charity Miles of Smiles is holding a Big Night Out in Saltney.

The fundraising event will take place on Saturday, March 30, at Saltney Tavern on the High Street.

A packed evening’s entertainment will feature singer Victoria Jones aka The Liverbird.

Her music celebrates female icons of the 60s such as Cilla, Lulu, Sandi Shaw and Dusty Springfield. She had the pleasure of singing at Sir Ken Dodd’s 90th birthday and has regularly sung on Fred Olsen cruise ships and in Ricky Tomlinson’s Green Room.

Also appearing are local favourites Zoot Serious and The Bellyful of Bop, an 11-piece band playing jump, jive, rhythm and blues, soul and swing.

There will also be a disco, raffle and stand-up bingo. Food will be independently available on the night.

All proceeds will go towards sending a party of local sick and severely disabled children to Disneyland Paris in June.

Gary Horton from Miles of Smiles said: "This is going to be a very special night with some fantastic entertainment on offer, plus you will be helping a great cause at the same time.’’
