A WOMAN has died following a crash on the A55 on Anglesey.

The incident on Thursday, January 17 - between junction 2 Valley and junction 3 Kingsland - involved a pedestrian and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Corsa was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance with what is believed to be minor injuries.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene and we send our condolences to her family and friends.

“We are appealing for any witnesses; or anybody who may have been travelling along that particular stretch of road and who may have dash cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.”
