A FLINTSHIRE resident was shocked to find someone had made an attempt to puncture the tyre of their car.
A nail, stuck into a bottle cap to keep it erect, was found lodged under the wheel of a car in Flint on Wednesday afternoon.
The nail was found by relieved resident Mick Whiley on his drive at an address on Coed Onn Road.
The sharp-edged object could have caused a major puncture to the tyre of the car, thereby making it very dangerous to drive.
People are now urged to be vigilant of similar attempts to deliberately puncture tyres.
And some drivers are now suspicious that their car's tyres were punctured deliberately.
Kat Storer said: "I've had three punctures fixed on my car tyres and all have been found to be a nail that's caused it.
"Hearing about this makes me wonder if they been done intentionally."
