PART of a dual carriageway was closed by police after a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
Earlier this afternoon police closed a stretch of the A55 near Caerwys while they dealt with what was described as an "ongoing incident".
A North Wales Police spokesman said: "Please be aware, the A55 between junction 31 and 30 (Singing Kettle services) will be closed for the time due to an ongoing incident.
"Diversions will be put in place."
Minutes later they added: "One lane is now open after J31 on the A55 westbound. Thank you for your patience."
The road was clear again around 6pm.
Shortly after, a spokesman for the Cheshire and North Wales Police Alliance Armed Policing Unit confirmed officers were involved in the pursuit of a stolen vehicle which had failed to stop, but the incident was "brought to a safe conclusion" and two arrests were made.
