A SCHOOL in Wrexham is giving children and parents the valuable chance to learn together, while raising money for charity.
Gwersyllt Community Primary School held one of their 'Crafternoon' sessions before Christmas, giving children and their parental guardians the chance to work together to assemble a number of Christmas themed items.
The scheme is part of the the school's 'Family Learning, Family Care' programme, aimed at years three and four.
Jacquie O'Toole, assistant head teacher at Gwersyllt CP, said: "It's a session we hold where we invite parents and guardians to come in and learn with the children.
"Everyone went around doing various Christmas themed activities and at the end of it they got a mince pie and some hot chocolate.
"The scheme encourages the parents and the children to learn together and at the same time raises some money for Mind."
