ONE person had to be cut out of their car after a collision in Wrexham on Thursday morning.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called just before 11am to a collision involving three vehicles on Cunliffe Street.

One of the cars was on its side, with the driver trapped inside.

A spokesman for the Fire Service said: "One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extracted using specialised hydraulic cutting equipment."

Two appliances from Wrexham attended the scene and the person who had been trapped was treated by Welsh Ambulance Service staff.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today at approximately 10.55am to reports of a road traffic collision on Cunliffe Street, Wrexham.

"We responded with one emergency ambulance, where one person was treated at the scene.”
